Sheikh-Lofollah Mosque: Outside to inside [10]

The effect of light on the glazed tiles is nothing that can be expressed in pictures.

Wow again. If this mosque is effected by earthquakes? Earthquakes and tile work makes for a lot of repair.

How many individuals do maintenance on this mosque?

Really overwhelmed by this mosque's beauty.

Isfahan is affected by earthquake many times but it is not one of the most seismic active cities of Iran. However if some day it happens the architectural heritage of the city will suffer from a huge damage and destruction. This mosque among the other buildings around the Naqsh-e-Jahan square of Isfahan are listed in the World Heritage Organization. I don't know how many people are working for maintainance of the mosque but the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization is legally resposible for the protection of the building by all means.
