I had the opportunity to visit Gaskar, a city in Gilan. Gaskar was an important city in north of Alborz mountains from about 1000 A.D. to 1600 as far as we know. Archaeologists believe that people left Gaskar after an epidemic disease and after that the city was destructed by an earthquake.Today Gaskar is an archaeological site 2 kilometers deep in the woods.
